These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the DolFin mobile application and related services. By downloading or using DolFin you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use DolFin. By using the Service you represent that you meet this age requirement. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent.

DolFin is available on iOS and Android. You are responsible for ensuring your device meets the minimum system requirements.

3. Not Financial Advice

Important: DolFin is an educational and habit-building app. Nothing in DolFin — including quests, lessons, scores, the Waste Finder feature, or any other content — constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any financial product. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making financial decisions.

The Waste Finder feature helps you reflect on your own spending patterns based on information you enter. It does not connect to any bank account and does not access your real financial data.

4. Free Service & Pro Subscription

4.1 Free Tier

Core features of DolFin — including daily quests, streak tracking, XP, gems, achievements, and the 24-lesson curriculum — are available free of charge.

4.2 DolFin Pro

DolFin Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional quests and features. Pro is available as:

Subscriptions are managed and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Prices are shown in the app at the time of purchase. We may change prices with reasonable notice.

To cancel a subscription, use the subscription management settings on your device (App Store or Google Play). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until then.

4.3 Gem Packs

Gems are the in-app virtual currency used for streak protection and in-app features. Gems can be earned by completing quests or purchased via gem packs available in the app. Gems are non-refundable and have no cash value.

5. Virtual Items, XP & Gems

XP (experience points), gems, levels, streaks, achievements, and any other virtual items or rewards in DolFin are part of the game experience only. They have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash or real-world goods.

We reserve the right to modify, reset, or remove virtual items at any time, including in the event of account termination or service discontinuation.

6. Acceptable Use

7. Intellectual Property

All content within DolFin — including the app design, graphics, text, quests, lessons, icons, and code — is owned by or licensed to DolFin and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any DolFin content without our written permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of DolFin is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DolFin and its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Austria, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
